The Gluten-Free Seal is not a trend: it is a guarantee of safety and trust for all celiacs.

Imagine that you can never eat out because every time you do, you end up sick, with stomach pain or even in the hospital. And this happens despite having researched, called ahead, and confirmed that they could serve gluten-free food safely.

Even so, you’ve sometimes gotten sick maybe due to bad luck, inadequate practices, or staff’s lack of knowledge.

Wouldn’t it be reassuring to have a seal that certifies that a restaurant truly understands celiac disease, that it’s not a trend or a whim, that their staff is trained, they have established protocols, and, above all, they follow them? This would greatly reduce the chances of having a bad experience when eating out.

The Gluten-Free seal Andorra, awarded by the Celiac Association of Andorra, certifies establishments that have and follow a protocol to safely prepare and serve gluten-free products. For people with celiac disease, it is essential that their food is safe, and they greatly value when businesses demonstrate good hygiene and food-handling practices.

Having this seal can be a great advantage for a restaurant: it can attract a segment of clients who previously could not dine there for safety reasons. Moreover, these clients tend to be very loyal: if they try a place and feel well afterward, they will return.

How to obtain the Gluten-Free seal Andorra?

To obtain it, an establishment must follow a series of steps. First, you need to contact ACEA or your food safety consultancy company like us, and they will guide you throughout the entire process.

At Atēnia, we offer two services: advising on the design and implementation of safe gluten-free kitchen protocols, or carrying out the certification audit to verify correct compliance. We cannot offer both services to the same business.
