Environment5 de June del 2025

The future of the planet is decided by the actions we take today.

June 5th is not just any day. It is World Environment Day, a date created by the United Nations in 1972 that invites us to stop, reflect, and take action. The planet gives us everything we need to live, but it also asks for responsibility and respect.

We are living in a crucial moment: pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss are challenges we can no longer ignore. But the good news is that there is still time. Change begins with simple actions, with small decisions that, when combined, have a huge impact.

At Atēnia, we are convinced that caring for the environment is not only the task of governments and institutions. It is a way of life. An attitude we carry with us every day:

  • When we reduce the use of plastics
  • When we choose public transport or share a car
  • When we give objects a second life
  • When we opt for local and seasonal products

Every small gesture is a grain of sand in building a cleaner, healthier future.

“We cannot change the world overnight, but we can transform it through every daily action.”

Companies also play a fundamental role. Incorporating sustainable practices, reducing the carbon footprint, and promoting energy efficiency is not just about image — it is a real commitment to society and future generations.

World Environment Day is, therefore, both a reminder and a call to action. It is the perfect moment to ask ourselves: What can I do to take care of the planet? The answer is simpler than it seems: start today, start with small gestures, start from home.
