Protecting utensils and following instructions is key for an effective and safe treatment.

Many neighbors ask: they need to do a shock treatment against cockroaches in the building, but I don’t have any at home. Should they come anyway? The answer is yes, absolutely.

Cockroaches hide very well; if you see them, it means there are many more hiding. And if in one apartment they aren’t seen but the neighbor is treated, they will likely appear, fleeing the products by survival instinct.

Cockroaches usually hide in dark corners; seeing one indicates a significant infestation. To perform the treatment, the company will ask neighbors to empty kitchen and bathroom cabinets, where cockroaches are most likely to hide. Some utensils must be protected with plastic, as the products are toxic to cockroaches and minimally harmful to humans.

The products have a safety period of 12 hours: after the treatment, tenants cannot re-enter and must ventilate the home well. There is no need to wash the protected utensils, only wipe surfaces. Avoid deep cleaning immediately afterwards, as this reduces the effectiveness of the product.

Before the treatment, a thorough cleaning is necessary, removing food scraps even behind and under cabinets. Leaving food accessible will allow cockroaches to survive and become more resistant.

Although it seems long, it is better to spend at least 12 hours outside than to live with cockroaches carrying microorganisms and possible diseases.
